How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

This role will serve as a technical bridge between design, manufacturing, and quality, supporting both electronic and mechanical challenges and influencing New Product Introduction from concept through to production.

They are based in a modern facility in North London, offering an excellent environment and strong infrastructure for designing and developing advanced cross-functional technologies. Due to increased project activity and continued product development, they are looking to appoint a Production Engineer to join their established engineering team.

This role offers real variety and technical breadth. You will be embedded within the production environment, supporting both mechanical and electronic assemblies while working closely with design, quality and manufacturing. The position plays a key part in ensuring products are built to the correct quality standards, problems are diagnosed efficiently, and processes are continuously improved.

On a day-to-day basis, you will provide hands-on shop floor support, diagnosing whether issues are mechanical, electrical or supplier-related. You will update and maintain work instructions, operating procedures and test specifications, and support functional testing activities. You will also contribute to New Product Introduction activities, reviewing drawings, identifying tooling or purchasing requirements, and ensuring products transition smoothly into manufacture.

This role requires strong technical judgement, practical problem-solving ability and confidence working across both electronic and mechanical disciplines. The environment involves PCB-based products, cable assemblies and full box builds, so prior experience within a high-tech or electronics manufacturing setting is essential.

    The ideal candidate will have:

HNC/HND level qualification in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
    Hands-on problem-solving experience with electro-mechanical technology
Experience working within a high-tech engineering or electronics manufacturing environment
    Salary description

    £50000.00 - £60000.00 per year
