How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a flagship education development in Bath, forming part of a major £100m+ construction scheme.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established main contractor delivering a landmark project, taking full responsibility for programme, commercial performance, operational delivery, and client management from pre-construction through to handover.

    The Role

    As Project Director, you will be responsible for:

    Leading the overall delivery strategy for a large-scale education project
    Managing site delivery teams and senior operational staff
    Driving programme, quality, and health & safety performance
    Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
    Overseeing commercial performance alongside the commercial team
    Ensuring all project objectives are achieved on time and within budget
    Providing leadership across all phases of the construction lifecycle

    Requirements

    To be considered, you must have:

    Proven experience in a Project Director or Senior Project Manager role
    Experience working for Tier 1 main contractors
    Track record delivering projects valued at £50m+
    Strong education sector experience (preferred)
    Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
    Strong contractual and commercial awareness
    Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
    SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
