How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Installation Assessor / IQA

    Chesterfield (Field Based / Home Based)

    This established and highly regarded education provider is known for delivering exceptional apprenticeship training and strong employer partnerships. With continued demand for skilled electricians across the industry, the college is expanding its Electrical apprenticeship provision and is now looking for an experienced Electrical Assessor to join the team.     In this role, you will manage a caseload of Electrical Installation apprentices, supporting them throughout their learning journey. You will carry out workplace visits, assess practical evidence, and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure learners successfully complete their apprenticeship standards. You will also work closely with employers and internal teams to ensure all elements of the apprenticeship programme, including Functional Skills and End Point Assessment preparation, are completed successfully.

    The ideal candidate will be an occupationally competent Electrician who holds an NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation and industry qualifications such as 18th Edition and Inspection and Testing. You will also hold an Assessor qualification. An IQA qualification is desired by experience would be considered.

    The Role:

    Manage and support a caseload of Electrical Installation apprentices
    Carry out workplace assessments, reviews and progress monitoring
    Provide coaching and mentoring to help learners achieve their qualification
    Support Internal Quality Assurance processes where required
    Work closely with employers to ensure successful apprenticeship delivery
    Monday to Friday role with field based and home working flexibilityThe Person:

    Qualified Electrician with strong Electrical Installation experience
    NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation (or equivalent)
    Holds 18th Edition and Inspection and Testing qualifications
    Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33 or TAQA)
