Our client, based in Southwark, is currently recruiting for an Associate HR Business Partner on a 3-month temporary vacancy.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position and offers 3 days per week working from home.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in higher education but must be able to handle their own ER caseload and hit the ground running with project work.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing consistent HR advice to managers, including on organisational policies, employment best practice and the application of these to day-to-day management
- Assisting the Snr HRBP on key projects to do with re-organisation and L&D roll outs
- Running analysis of reports and data to identify trends and work collaboratively with the Senior HRBP to identify initiatives or strategies to address issues
- Leading on supporting formal and informal ER casework as well as providing support and guidance to managers at all stages of the process and ensuring risk based and commercial advice
- Ensuring the comprehensive investigation and hearing outcome reports and other documentation as necessary is completed to a high standard, coaching and advice managers as needed
Experience required:
- Experience required in Higher Education
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Up to date knowledge of employment law and employment practice, with a sound judgement in HR and ER matters
- Experience of taking risk based / commercial approach to advice provided around HR matters
- Experience of managing a variety of ER case work and advising managers on a full range of employee relations issues
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
