How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently seeking a Payroll Executive to join our team in Chester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in a hybrid working capacity.     You’ll make an impact by:

    * Ensuring accurate and timely payroll end-to-end production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations within payroll deadlines and requirements

    * Servicing multiple clients as part of a team effort to deliver excellent service to our clients by actively engaging in Client Surveys, KAM and internal audits

    * Contributing to your team's growth by actively seeking new opportunities with your client base including HR services, People Manager and Hot Topic Items

    * Ensuring you have up to date knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations by attending in-house training courses

    * Generating payroll reports, P45s etc., using our in-house systems and Microsoft Excel

    * Submitting reports to HMRC via RTI

    * Managing client billing

    * Completing any other ad hoc duties as required

    What we are looking for:

    * Practical experience of payroll calculations, deadlines & knowledge of UK legislation requirements

    * Strong numerical abilities & proven experience in MS Office, particularly Excel

    * Passion for excellent customer service and maintaining quality relationships

    * Knowledge of month end & year end returns

    * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with individuals at all levels

    * Good organisation and prioritisation skills, ensuring stringent deadlines are met

    * Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
