How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions -- we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

There has never been a more exciting time to pursue a digital career at RSM. As we grow rapidly, we are expanding our Audit Data Analytics team, offering the opportunity to join a leading middle market firm at a pivotal point in its digital journey.

Our digital teams represent the future of our service offering, developing and deploying sophisticated data analysis capabilities that enhance audit quality and insight. This role sits at the intersection of technology innovation and audit delivery, supporting the advancement of RSM UK’s audit analytics as we embark on an ambitious strategic roadmap.

As a Junior Python Developer, you will play an important role in helping us continue to develop a modern, scalable audit analytics platform built on Azure, working closely with our technical team to integrate advanced capabilities. Your expertise will help shape how RSM UK delivers audits, enabling significant gains across our thousands of annual engagements.

    You’ll make an impact by:

    * Developing and enhancing in-house analytics solutions to support advanced data processing capabilities

    * Write maintainable code solutions and perform code reviews

    * Mentoring and developing new developers' technical skills

    * Adhering to CI/CD practices for reliable application deployment

    * Collaborating with our technical team to ensure seamless integration with other digital solutions

    What we are looking for:

You will be a Python developer with early commercial experience in producing applications, aware of CI/CD best practices. You will also have experience, or interest, in transforming legacy systems into scalable, performant applications and are excited to mentor new developers.

Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

    * Experience developing Python applications, with strong knowledge of data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)

    * An interest in cloud platforms, such as Azure (AKS, Service Bus, Entra, container registry)

    * Understanding of database technologies (MSSQL, ADLS Gen2) and experience with large datasets

    * Knowledge of software development best practices, code quality, and testing

    * Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

    What we can offer you:

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

    * Hybrid working

    * 26 days holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days)

    * Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP

    * Significant investment in personal development with a wide range of training opportunities
