How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Deputy Manager to join the team at an attractive modern Nursery in Winchester on a full time, permanent basis.

    The Nursery is a welcoming space that ensures a secure and engaging environment for early learning, with a focus on the outdoors to spark curiosity in children and promote independence. Activities including visiting the nearby animals, growing vegetables in the garden to later use for lunch, and many more opportunities to nurture each child’s creativity and confidence.

    As Deputy Nursery Manager you will be a crucial member of the leadership team and support with the day to day management of the site. Within this you will lead a team of dedicated staff, ensuring the highest standard of learning and care. You should be familiar with all educational standards and OFSTED requirements, and be able to step in to support wherever needed within the setting.

    This is a full time, permanent Deputy Nursery Manager role paying a starting salary of up to £35,000 per annum with an annual bonus. You will be working for a supportive and established employer, with numerous settings across the South. Experienced Room Leaders and Third in Charges with 2 years’ experience and Level 3 or above in Early Years Education / Chilcare are encouraged to apply.

    Nursery Deputy Manager profile:

    * Level 3 Childcare / CACHE / Early Years Qualification or equivalent

    * Strong leadership skills with previous leadership experience within a Nursery setting (E.g. Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Nursery Manager)

    * Excellent knowledge and understanding the of EYFS

    * Knowledge of safeguarding

    Nursery Deputy Manager duties will include:

    * Supporting the Nursery Manager in all aspects of daily running

    * Support with safeguarding for the setting, putting the welfare and safety of the children above all else

    * Regularly liaising with Parents and Carers to ensure a high level of involvement and satisfaction
