How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Mentor- Newbury

    Location: Newbury, SEMH School

    Start Date: ASAP

    Pay Scale: £90.00- £105.00/ day

    Are you a recent graduate, looking to work as a Psychologist or Therapist in the future?

    Are you passionate about managing challenging behaviour and enabling children to access education?

    A dedicated SEMH School in Newbury are looking for a new Behaviour Mentor to join their team of Learning Support Assistants as soon as possible.

    Within this role, you will be working to support students who display challenging behaviours a part of a wider SEN or SEMH diagnosis. Many of the pupils at the school have needs such as ASD, ADHD, behavioural difficulties or attachment disorders and have barriers to education, requiring tailored 1:1 support.

    As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work with outer agency professionals to provide high quality assistance to all pupils, adapting the National Curriculum to make it more accessible, and provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

    Due to the setting of this role, it offers a fantastic opportunity for graduates and aspiring psychologists to gain practical, hands-on experience before pursuing official training or further study.

    In this Behaviour Mentor role, you will:

    Act as a positive role model for all students
    Work 1:1 with students with additional and complex SEN/ SEMH needs
    Work alongside outer agency professionals
