A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking an experienced and passionate Science Teacher to join their successful department on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled educator to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on specialism. The school has a strong commitment to academic excellence, high standards of behaviour, and continuous professional development.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Plan, prepare and assess work in line with national curriculum expectations
Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential
Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
A track record of strong student outcomes
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
