Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical repairs and installations within domestic properties. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a first-time fix standard while remaining fully compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to a high standard, aiming for first-time fixes
Diagnose faults and undertake rewiring of domestic electrical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship
Liaise effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates on progress and actions
Escalate more complex issues to senior staff where required
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and BS7671 standards, including proper use of PPE
Interpret drawings and specifications to plan work and source required materials
Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance
Support planned works including full rewires, kitchen and bathroom electrical installations in occupied and void properties
Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required
Maintain company vehicle, carrying out routine safety checks and reporting defectsRequirements
Qualified Electrician with experience in social housing
Relevant qualifications such as:
City & Guilds 2391
City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351 or 2330 (Level 2 & 3), or equivalent
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
Previous apprenticeship or equivalent practical training
Strong working knowledge of the current BS7671 regulations
Experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of installations
City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (desirable)
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel efficiently between sites
