How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing)

    Recruitment Unlimited are working on behalf of our client to recruit a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site based on the outskirts of Tiverton (approx. 10 miles away).

    Role Overview

    You will become part of a knowledgeable and supportive engineering team, playing an important role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of a busy production facility. You will be involved in both reactive and planned maintenance activities, helping to minimise downtime and maintain consistent production performance.

    Main Responsibilities

    * Responding to electrical breakdowns in a timely manner and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repair

    * Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with scheduled maintenance plans

    * Supporting ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reliability across the site

    * Undertaking general electrical maintenance and day-to-day engineering support across the facility

    * Working on a mix of electrical and instrumentation systems as part of wider engineering operations

    * Full site-specific training will be provided where required.

    Requirements

    We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer with a proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving. You should have experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment and be confident working with:

    * Three-phase electrical systems

    * Analogue current loops

    * Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems

    * Industrial maintenance environments

    You will be confident working independently when required, while also being a strong team player within a busy engineering environment.

    Package & Benefits

    * Salary: £34,000 – £39,500 DOE

    * Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 expected to be on call 1 in 4 weekends
