How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Responsibilities of a Senior Door Engineer

    You'll be reporting to the Doors and Security Manager and be expected to be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of automatic swing and sliding automated entrance systems as well as Industrial doors within a local postcode area. Other technicians will call if they have issues, and you'll play a key part in arranging future interviews for potential new members of staff. Each day you'll also be working with an assortment of equipment from Automatic Doors to Industrial roller shutters, You will be expected to manage your own work in progress, ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, whilst communicating with your line manager of any issues the area is experiencing. You'll attend regular training courses and management meetings whilst being an active team player sustaining the company's fantastic reputation and future growth.

    Essential requirements of a successful Senior Door Engineer

    * EN16005, IPAF, PASMA
    * Previous practical experience working on swing, sliding entrance systems and industrial door systems
    * Confident in your product knowledge and able to offer advice to other quickly when required
    * Electrical, welding or hydraulics experience * Strong leadership skills
    * Working to deadlines and time management
    * Problem solving

    Salary and Benefits for a Senior Door Engineer:

    * Attractive starting salary package of £55,500 basic OTE circa £65k+ in your first year
    * Overtime rates paid at 1.5 minimum
    * Paid from when you leave home to when you return home and attending office
    * On-call support for the team and attend if necessary
