A well-established and supportive secondary school in Manchester is looking to appoint a qualified Maths Teacher from September. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and collaborative department.
The Role:
You will deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence and enthusiasm in mathematics while ensuring strong academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
A passion for teaching and raising student achievement
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
