Academics are supporting a welcoming school in Devizes who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistants to join their teams as soon as possible. This role involves supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them to engage with their learning and reach their full potential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those with prior experience supporting children, as well as individuals considering a future career in education or educational psychology.
Learning Support Assistant - Main Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
* Support students in accessing the curriculum and staying engaged in lessons
* Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies
* Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils
* Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working in a school or with children
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner
* A passion for supporting students and making a difference
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
