How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Supported Living Manager (Advanced / Complex Needs)
    Location: Nottinghamshire / Mansfield
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (inclusive of enhanced rate, dependent on experience)
    Contract: Permanent
    The Role
Perthyn is recruiting an Advanced Supported Living Manager to join our Nottingham team, based from our Mansfield office. You will manage Supported Living services, leading teams who support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex or high‑risk needs.
Working closely with the Regional Manager and our in‑house Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Team, you will ensure safe, predictable and person‑centred services are delivered consistently. The role requires strong leadership, confidence in high‑risk environments and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
    About Perthyn
Perthyn is a values‑driven organisation supporting people with learning disabilities to live meaningful and independent lives. Our work is underpinned by integrity, empowerment, inclusivity and accountability.
We offer a supportive working environment, clear career pathways and a strong commitment to person‑centred and autonomy‑based support.
    The People You Will Support
As a Supported Living Manager, you will work closely with people who have complex needs, autism and a history of behaviours that can challenge. Support teams are small, and you will be actively involved in maintaining strong, trusting relationships.
People are supported using autism‑specific, trauma‑informed approaches with clear, structured and predictable routines. Experience within forensic or highly complex risk environments is desirable.
Key Responsibilities - Supported Living Manager
You will be responsible for leading and developing Supported Living services, including:
    • Leading, mentoring and developing staff teams
    • Ensuring consistent implementation of support plans, risk assessments and PBS plans
    • Embedding Active Support, PBS and predictable systems
    • Providing calm and confident leadership during challenging situations
    • Coaching colleagues to build confidence, resilience and skills
    • Maintaining clear expectations and consistency across services
    • Working in partnership with Perthyn’s in‑house PBS Team
    • Building strong relationships with families and external professionals
    • Ensuring documentation remains accurate, compliant and person‑centred
    • Representing Perthyn at reviews, meetings and inspections
A full UK driving licence is essential. You will participate in regional on‑call arrangements.
    About You
You will be a resilient and reflective leader with a confident and supportive management style.
    Essential experience includes:
    • At least 2 years’ experience managing or supervising teams in Supported Living or similar settings
    • Supporting adults with autism using structured and predictable approaches
    • Supporting people with complex needs and behaviours that can challenge
    • Managing risk within high‑risk environments
    • Strong organisational and decision‑making skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • QCF/RQF Level 3 (or willingness to work towards Level 5)
    Desirable experience includes:
    • Forensic or highly complex service environments
    • Embedding trauma‑informed and PBS approaches
    What We Offer
    • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 26 days)
    • Additional day off for your birthday
    • Occupational sick pay
    • Fully funded DBS
    • Comprehensive induction, training and qualifications
    • Opportunity to work towards QCF Level 5
    The Next Step
If you feel this role matches your experience and values, please apply today.
This role is subject to enhanced DBS checks in line with safer recruitment practices
