How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Management Accountant 

    Location: Nantwich
    Salary: £40,000 per annum
    Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays (including 3 days Christmas shutdown), pension scheme, private medical insurance

    About the Role

    We are working in partnership with a well‑established Nantwich‑based business to recruit a Standalone Management Accountant. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role offering full ownership of the finance function and regular reporting to Head Office overseas.

    This opportunity is ideal for an experienced industry accountant who enjoys working independently, producing accurate management information, and providing clear financial insight to support the wider business.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and deliver the full month‑end close process, reporting to Head Office in Spain
    Maintain and control the fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals
    Manage prepayments and accruals
    Prepare detailed sales analysis and perform sales reconciliations
    Carry out intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
    Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    Produce profit and loss statements with variance analysis and commentary
    Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines
    Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations
    Monitor and report on month‑end sales backlog
    Monitor, reconcile, and control inventory balances
    Coordinate payroll processing with an external provider
    Liaise with pension providers to ensure accurate and timely submissions
    Act as the main finance contact for the annual external audit
    Perform ad hoc finance and reporting tasks as required

    Skills & Experience

    AAT Level 4 qualified
    Proven industry accountancy experience
    Experience working in a standalone finance role
    SAP experience essential
    Strong knowledge of VAT, management accounting, and reconciliation processes
    Confident working autonomously with excellent attention to detail
