How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking a highly skilled and action-oriented Logistics Co-Ordinator with proven expertise in international freight operations, customs compliance, and export documentation. The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced, hands-on mastery of International Commercial Trade Terms (Incoterms), with proven ability to apply, challenge, and optimise Freight Prepaid and Freight Collect structures across international shipments. This role requires commercial confidence to challenge freight pricing between sellers, buyers, and forwarders, alongside practical experience creating commercial invoices, managing Chamber of Commerce portals, calculating customs duties, and executing shipments through freight forwarder platforms.

This position plays a critical role in protecting the company’s global supply chain integrity, financial accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

Handle shipping documentation (invoices, HS codes, COO, Incoterms), and coordinate daily with carriers (e.g., UPS, DHL) to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.

    * Customs Compliance & Trade Regulations: Oversee export/import declarations and ensure full compliance with customs laws. Accurately calculate duties, VAT, and fees, maintain correct commodity codes and origin data, and manage post-Brexit UK–EU procedures and documentation.

    * Documentation & Certification: Prepare and manage commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and legalization processes via Chamber of Commerce portals, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

    * Dangerous Goods Handling: Coordinate shipments of hazardous materials (e.g., lithium batteries), ensuring proper classification, documentation (MSDS), and compliance with international safety regulations (IATA, IMDG, ADR).

    * Reverse Logistics: Handle returned goods, including re-import documentation, classification, and inventory reconciliation.

    * Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Sales, Finance, etc.) to align shipments, control freight costs, and communicate delivery timelines and customs impacts. Review and validate freight invoices.

    * Performance Monitoring & Improvement:Track logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, cost efficiency, documentation accuracy), ensure shipment traceability, and continuously improve processes by negotiating better terms with logistics providers.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    * Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).

    * Proven, hands-on experience in logistics, international shipping, or supply chain coordination.

    * Demonstrated experience exporting to Far East and Middle East markets.

    * Strong working knowledge of: Commercial invoices, Export declarations, Chambers of Commerce portals, Customs duties and thresholds, Commodity codes and COO requirements, International Commercial Trade Terms

    * Experience using ERP systems and freight forwarder portals.

    * Demonstrable logistics and customs experience operating under post-Brexit UK–EU trade regulations.

    Skills & Attributes

    * Highly action-oriented with the ability to independently execute complex logistics tasks.

    * Exceptional attention to detail with zero-tolerance for documentation errors.

    * Confident communicator across internal teams and external partners.

    * Commercially aware, cost-focused, and solutions-driven.

    * Comfortable managing multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    * Advanced user of Microsoft 365, including: Excel (data analysis, cost tracking), Word (documentation), PowerPoint (reporting), OneDrive (document control)

    * The ability to be forward-thinking and make projections, project manage and implement strategic planning.

    * Excellent people, communication and negotiation skills
