How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Trainee Calibration Technician (Full Training)

    £27,000 - £28,000 + Full Training + UKAS Accredited + Technical Progression / Multi Disciplinary + Flexible Hours + Holiday + Pension

    Commutable from Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Pudsey, Dewsbury, Brighouse, Keighley, and surrounding areas

    This company are a highly specialised engineering company who have nearly 40 years of experience offering pioneering services to companies across the UK. Due to continued growth they are looking for an enthusiastic person to join their team.

    On offer is a role with full training into a specialist industry, where you will be workshop based with occasional travel to customer sites to carry out calibration of specialist equipment and instrumentation.

    This role would suit someone from either a technical background, engineering, lab based or similar, who is looking to train into calibration. Equally someone who has a technical mindset and looking to step into a role with full training is encouraged to apply.

    The Role:
    * Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours
    * Workshop based with occasional customer site visits
    * Calibration of specialist tools and instrumentation

    The Person:
    * Any technical, engineering or calibration background (or interested in learning)
    * Looking to build a career in calibration
