Data Integration Engineer (Senior / VP Level)

Rate: £700/day (Umbrella)
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: London (5 days in 10 in office)
A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer to join their data team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex data integration and regulatory reporting systems within a highly dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data integration pipelines
- Work across multiple systems to ensure accurate and efficient data flow
- Perform data modelling, transformation, and creation of data marts
- Support regulatory reporting requirements within a banking environment
- Manage and optimise data platforms, tools, and ETL processes
- Troubleshoot data issues, ensuring high data quality and compliance standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL)
- Proven experience with ETL tools such as DataStage, SSIS, or Alteryx
- Solid understanding of data modelling and data integration techniques
- Experience working with regulatory reporting systems in banking
- Knowledge of data quality, security, and compliance requirements
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or Databricks
- Familiarity with middleware technologies (e.g. Kafka, IIB, MQ)
- Experience with ECB/AQR reporting frameworks
