How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Data Integration Engineer (Senior / VP Level)

    Contract Role | London (Hybrid)

    Rate: £700/day (Umbrella)

    Contract Length: 6 months

    Location: London (5 days in 10 in office)


    A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer to join their data team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex data integration and regulatory reporting systems within a highly dynamic environment.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain robust data integration pipelines
    • Work across multiple systems to ensure accurate and efficient data flow
    • Perform data modelling, transformation, and creation of data marts
    • Support regulatory reporting requirements within a banking environment
    • Manage and optimise data platforms, tools, and ETL processes
    • Troubleshoot data issues, ensuring high data quality and compliance standards


    Required Skills & Experience

    • Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases
    • Advanced proficiency in SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL)
    • Proven experience with ETL tools such as DataStage, SSIS, or Alteryx
    • Solid understanding of data modelling and data integration techniques
    • Experience working with regulatory reporting systems in banking
    • Knowledge of data quality, security, and compliance requirements


    Desirable Skills

    • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or Databricks
    • Familiarity with middleware technologies (e.g. Kafka, IIB, MQ)
    • Experience with ECB/AQR reporting frameworks


    Key Competencies

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to diagnose complex data issues and implement effective solutions
    • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively
