How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading global technology company is seeking an EMEA Employment Counsel to support its employment law function on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of employment matters in multiple European jurisdictions. This is a hands-on role for a legal professional who can operate autonomously, partnering closely with internal legal teams and coordinating with local outside counsel across key markets.


    Title: EMEA Employment Counsel (Contract)

    Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site)

    Hours: 40 Hours / Week

    Duration: 6 Months (mid May - mid November)

    Pay: $105 / hour - $120 / hour USD


    What You’ll Do:

    • Provide day-to-day employment law advice and counseling across EMEA, with a focus on continental Europe
    • Support employment litigation matters and coordinate strategy with outside counsel
    • Advise on employee relations issues, including performance management, terminations, investigations, and workplace policies
    • Draft, review, and update employment policies, procedures, and related documentation
    • Partner with internal legal stakeholders to ensure consistent and compliant employment practices across jurisdictions
    • Manage and triage a wide range of employment-related inquiries in a fast-paced environment


    What You Bring

    • Strong employment law expertise across European jurisdictions, particularly France, Italy, and Spain
    • Experience working with and managing outside counsel across multiple countries
    • Ability to operate independently and manage a high volume of matters with minimal supervision
    • Solid experience handling employment litigation and complex employee relations issues
    • Strong judgment and a practical, business-oriented approach to legal advice
    • Qualified lawyer in the UK or another European jurisdiction (preferred)
