How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our LTE Group as a Portfolio Management Officer (PMO) on a permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) basis. This is a hybrid role working from our Openshaw, Manchester office.


    Role Responsibilities

    In this influential position, you’ll strengthen portfolio governance, assurance, and reporting across our programmes and projects, ensuring activity aligns with organisational priorities, risks are effectively managed, and benefits are realised for learners, colleagues, and stakeholders.

    You will be central to maintaining oversight of the Group’s project and programme portfolio, providing high‑quality analysis, insights, and continuous improvement to support decision‑making at the highest levels. From developing robust governance frameworks to championing best practice and driving meaningful improvements, you’ll help shape how we deliver transformation across the organisation.


    Skills, Qualifications and Experience

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
    • Experience supporting or managing portfolios, programmes, or projects in a relevant sector (e.g., education, public sector, or commercial environment).
    • Experience with portfolio management tools and Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial, operational, and risk data to generate clear, evidence-based recommendations.
    • Project or portfolio management certification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, MoP, APM PMQ) desirable. An advantage
