STEM Workshop Lead – Holiday Camp

Spark STEM is seeking an enthusiastic and technically capable STEM Workshop Lead to deliver high-quality hands-on STEM sessions for children aged 6–11 during our holiday camps in Dulwich.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys coding, building, experimenting and making technology engaging for young learners in a well-resourced, professional environment.
Higher daily rates are available for candidates with particularly strong coding, engineering or 3D printing experience.
The Role
As a STEM Workshop Lead, you will lead and support engaging daily STEM sessions including:
- 3D design and supervised 3D printing
- Micro:bit coding and beginner programming
- Practical science investigations
- Engineering, robotics and construction challenges
You will work closely with children in small groups, helping them test ideas, solve problems, build confidence and develop curiosity through practical learning.
You will also help set up and manage STEM equipment, maintain a safe workshop environment, and support the smooth day-to-day running of camp.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
- Hands-on experience in at least two STEM areas such as coding, robotics, 3D printing, engineering builds or science experiments
- Experience working with primary-aged children in camps, schools, clubs or workshops
- A warm, energetic and professional manner
- Strong communication skills and confidence leading groups
- Reliability, initiative and a positive team attitude
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability during school holiday periods
- Willingness to complete safeguarding and safer recruitment checks
Desirable
- First Aid or Safeguarding certification
- STEM-related degree or current university study
- Experience with Python, Scratch, Tinkercad or similar platforms

Location & Hours
Dulwich, London
Monday to Friday during school holidays
7:45/8:45am–4:15/5:15pm
Start date: May Half-Term 2026 or by agreement
