About the Role
As a Physical Education Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs. You will play a key role in promoting physical wellbeing, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport and activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons for students with SEMH needs
- Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning and behavioural needs
- Promote physical health, emotional wellbeing, and social development
- Manage behaviour effectively using a trauma-informed approach
- Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback
About You
We are looking for a dedicated PE Teacher who is committed to supporting students with additional needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Experience in SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision (desirable)
- Passion for inclusive education and student development
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
