How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are seeking a passionate and resilient PE Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Maidstone, Kent.     About the Role

    As a Physical Education Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs. You will play a key role in promoting physical wellbeing, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport and activity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons for students with SEMH needs
    • Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning and behavioural needs
    • Promote physical health, emotional wellbeing, and social development
    • Manage behaviour effectively using a trauma-informed approach
    • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
    • Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback

    About You

    We are looking for a dedicated PE Teacher who is committed to supporting students with additional needs.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
    • Strong behaviour management skills
    • Experience in SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision (desirable)
    • Passion for inclusive education and student development
    • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
