BIM Support role / BIM Lead (Outside IR35) - Part time (24 hours per week)

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced BIM Technician to assist with a live mixed use international project. You’ll be responsible for using Navisworks to coordinate, complete clash detection and simulation, all whilst coordinating with BIM leads for other consultants. The project is currently at the masterplan and building signage stages. This role suits someone confident working with multiple stakeholders, leading coordination meetings, and maintaining strong control over models, data, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead BIM strategy and implementation, including delivery and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Manage and coordinate federated BIM models across all disciplines.
- Oversee model production in native formats and required exchange formats (e.g. IFC, Navisworks).
- Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE), including access control and information security.
- Ensure models are kept up to date with approved RFIs, design changes, and revisions.
- Deliver BIM models at key project stages, including construction and As‑Built.
- Extract shop drawings and As‑Built drawings directly from BIM models.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings, workshops, and reviews with project teams.
- Act as the main point of contact for BIM-related matters on the project.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a BIM Manager, BIM Lead, or Senior BIM role.
- Strong knowledge of BIM coordination and federated model management.
- Hands‑on experience using tools such as Revit and Navisworks.
- Experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Background in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related discipline.
