Data & AI Instructor
Data & AI Consulting Firm

There’s a widening gap between what’s taught and what’s actually being built in the world of data and AI. This role exists to close it.
A high-growth technology consulting firm is investing heavily in a next-generation Data & AI Institute — not as a side initiative, but as a core pillar of how they build capability, deliver to clients, and shape the future workforce. They are assembling a select group of instructors who won’t just deliver content, but will actively define how modern data and AI should be taught.
This is not traditional training. It’s closer to operating as an AI engineer who teaches, embedded in a fast-moving environment where curriculum evolves in near real-time alongside industry. The expectation is simple: what’s taught here should mirror how the best data and AI teams are actually working — today, not two years ago.
You’ll deliver hands-on, applied learning across the full modern data stack — from foundational data engineering through to machine learning and applied AI systems — ensuring individuals leave not just with knowledge, but with the ability to operate in production environments from day one.
Alongside delivery, you’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving the curriculum itself. That means embedding modern tooling, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging patterns into everything — from how pipelines are built, to how models are deployed, to how agentic systems are designed and evaluated.
The work spans:
• End-to-end data workflows — ingestion, transformation, modelling, and platform architecture • Applied machine learning and statistical thinking in real-world contexts • AI-native development — including LLM integration, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows • Teaching modern engineering practices such as version control, CI/CD, and containerisation • Embedding AI-assisted development into the way engineers actually build today
You’ll be operating in an environment that expects pace, ownership, and relevance. Content is continuously refined to stay within touching distance of the industry’s bleeding edge, and delivery is focused on practical application rather than theory-heavy instruction.
What makes this role genuinely different is the impact. You’re not teaching abstract concepts — you’re helping build the next generation of data engineers and AI practitioners who will go on to deliver into real client environments. The output of your work is visible, measurable, and immediate.
Why this opportunity stands out:
• Be part of a pioneering group redefining how data and AI is taught at scale • Direct influence over curriculum design at the frontier of AI and data engineering • Work across the full lifecycle of modern data + AI systems, not a narrow specialism • Shape individuals who will become the future AI workforce entering industry • Operate in a highly collaborative, high-performance environment with strong technical peers
They’re looking for individuals who bring strong credibility from industry — whether in data engineering, data science, or applied AI — and who can translate that experience into clear, practical, high-impact learning. You don’t need to come from a traditional teaching background, but you do need the ability to communicate complex ideas in a way that sticks.
If you’ve spent time building real systems and have strong opinions on how data and AI should be done — and you’re motivated by the idea of scaling that impact through people — this is a rare opportunity to step into something genuinely formative.
You won’t just be delivering a curriculum. You’ll be helping define what “job-ready” means in the age of AI.
