How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a critical dual role within a global HR Business Partnering model. We are advertising this role on behalf of a client at Scout, who are looking to appoint a Senior HRBP.

In this role, you will partner directly with Global Department Leaders to ensure global coordination and strategic support for initiatives, projects, and key processes that require a single point of HR oversight. At the same time, you will act as the Local People Partner for the UK, responsible for executing people-related activities for employees based in your location.

You will seamlessly bridge high-level organisational design with local, on-the-ground employee support, ensuring employees and managers in the UK are supported consistently, regardless of business area. You will also ensure that strategic decisions and the rationale behind organisational changes at leadership level are effectively cascaded to local HR partners to ensure alignment, consistency, and understanding.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership & Global Alignment

    • Actively participate in business unit forums, including All Hands, leadership, and extended leadership meetings to gather insights, share feedback, and provide HR updates.
    • Hold regular check-ins and monthly meetings with Talent Acquisition and local People Partners to discuss business themes and ensure alignment.
    • Support thoughtful organisational design decisions, including reviewing compensation and reporting line changes to mitigate inequality or compression risks.
    • Lead or support global transformation and organisational design initiatives in coordination with local partners across jurisdictions.
    • Prepare global mobility proposals in collaboration with Compensation & Benefits and local People Partners.
    • Use people data (attrition, engagement, performance trends) to inform recommendations and identify risks.
    • Escalate complex, high-risk, or strategic matters to the Global HR Business Partner where appropriate.

    Talent & Performance Management

    • Support and help drive global performance management processes across the business area.
    • Oversee key talent cycles including goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews, calibration, talent reviews, and career frameworks.
    • Monitor underperformance trends globally and keep leadership informed.
    • Partner with business leaders on performance management activity, identifying themes impacting retention and talent attraction.
    • Support workforce planning, including headcount tracking, hiring needs, and organisational capacity planning in collaboration with leadership and Talent Acquisition.

    Onboarding & Employee Experience

    • Manage onboarding for VP level and above, working closely with L&D and local People Partners.
    • Review onboarding feedback at 30, 60, and 90 days to assess new joiner experience.
    • Implement local engagement initiatives based on business feedback and exit insights.

    Employee Relations & Compliance

    • Lead local employee relations cases relating to performance, conduct, and workplace issues.
    • Conduct investigations, produce written summaries, and ensure appropriate stakeholder communication, including the Global HRBP.
    • Support compliance with local jurisdictional training and mandatory employment practices.
    • Advise senior stakeholders, including the VP People, on sensitive ER cases and recommended approaches.

    Local Operations

    • Manage BAU HR documentation for UK employees (employment confirmations, change letters, etc.).
    • Oversee leave management, including annual, sick, and parental leave.
    • Administer local benefits, compensation adjustments, and separation processes in line with approval frameworks.
    • Manage flexible working requests, ensuring appropriate review and approvals.
    • Support voluntary and involuntary exits, ensuring effective offboarding in partnership with People Operations.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Extensive HR experience operating across both strategic global HRBP work and hands-on local HR delivery.
    • Strong expertise in UK employment law and employee relations, including leading complex cases, investigations, and performance/conduct management.
    • Proven experience in organisational design, job architecture, global mobility, and leading cross-border change initiatives (including M&A and restructuring).
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering with senior leaders (Global Heads, SLT, XLT).
    • Experience working closely with specialist HR functions including People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and L&D.
    • Data-driven approach, with the ability to interpret HR metrics (attrition, engagement, performance, workforce data) to inform decisions.
    • Experience with HR systems (BambooHR experience preferred) and modern HR workflows.
    • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 (or equivalent experience) preferred for this senior UK-based role.
