How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Funds/Corporate Knowledge Lawyer | International Firm | London

We are working with an international law firm to recruit a Professional Support Lawyer to join its Private Equity Real Estate team in London.

The firm operates across multiple international offices and has a well-established London presence advising institutional investors, fund managers and sponsors on complex real estate investment structures and transactions. The London team is widely regarded for its work on private equity real estate matters, including fund formation, joint ventures and strategic investments.

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with a high-performing transactional team while focusing on knowledge development, technical support and thought leadership across the practice.

    The role

The Professional Support Lawyer will play a key role in supporting the team’s knowledge strategy and ensuring lawyers remain up to date with legal and market developments relevant to the private equity real estate sector.

The position will involve monitoring legal and regulatory developments, developing and maintaining precedent materials, supporting internal training initiatives and contributing to client-facing publications and thought leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, associates and business services teams to help strengthen the group’s technical resources and support the continued growth of the practice.

Key areas of focus include private equity real estate fund formation (including closed-ended and open-ended structures), regulatory considerations affecting alternative investment funds, carried interest and co-investment arrangements, joint venture structures, separate accounts for institutional investors, strategic investments in asset managers, private M&A involving real estate platforms, and secondary transactions including GP-led processes and continuation funds.

    Key responsibilities

Supporting the implementation and development of the team’s knowledge strategy.

Monitoring and analysing legal, regulatory and market developments across private equity, real estate, funds and corporate law.

Preparing internal updates and materials to keep the team informed of relevant developments.

Working with lawyers and business development colleagues to produce client alerts, articles and briefing materials.

Assisting with the preparation of know-how resources to support client pitches and business development initiatives.

Supporting the organisation and delivery of training sessions and technical briefings for associates.

Developing and maintaining precedent documents, templates and practice notes used by the team.

Managing and organising the team’s knowledge resources, including standard forms, guidance notes and research materials.

Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas and international offices on knowledge initiatives and thought leadership projects.

    Candidate profile

Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.

Experience gained at a leading law firm with exposure to private equity, real estate funds, corporate transactions or related practice areas.

Experience drafting or reviewing fund documentation, joint venture agreements or transactional documents would be beneficial.

Demonstrated interest in knowledge development, training or legal know-how.

Strong drafting, research and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with senior stakeholders and wider teams.

Undergraduate degree with a minimum classification of 2:1 or equivalent.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a respected international practice and contribute to the development of a leading private equity real estate team.
