How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We’re working with a global, content-led digital business undergoing a significant product and design transformation.

They’re investing heavily in design and hiring multiple Lead Product Designers to shape the next generation of consumer-facing experiences across a portfolio of well-known brands.

This is a good opportunity to step into a true lead role, owning end to end product experiences, influencing strategy, and working closely with senior stakeholders across product, engineering, and editorial.

    What you’ll be doing

Owning product experiences end to end, from discovery through to delivery and iteration

Shaping how content, storytelling, and interaction come together across web and mobile

Working closely with product and engineering to define what gets built and how

Using data and research to inform decisions and improve engagement, retention, and subscription journeys

Contributing to design systems, components, and scalable patterns across multiple products

Playing a key role in how AI and new tooling are introduced into the design process

    What they’re looking for

Strong product design background, comfortable across UX and UI

Experience working on consumer-facing products, ideally content, media, or subscription-led

Able to think in systems, but still care about craft, layout, typography, and interaction detail

Confident working with stakeholders and able to challenge where needed

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-changing environment

Interest in AI and how it can enhance design workflows and product experiences

    Nice to have

Experience with native apps (iOS / Android) alongside web

Background in content, publishing, or storytelling-led products

Exposure to experimentation, personalisation, or engagement-led features

    Package

    £80k – £100k depending on experience

4 days a week in the London office (flexi hours!)
