Role Overview:
- Location: Hybrid / London (2-days per week on-site)
- Package: Competitive Day-Rate (Inside IR35)

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and evolve the product management capability across multiple client programmes
- Set the standard for product best practice, frameworks, and governance
- Guide teams in defining product vision, roadmaps, and prioritisation strategies
- Ensure delivery is rooted in user needs, data insights, and measurable outcomes
- Oversee product delivery across complex public sector transformation initiatives
- Work closely with senior government stakeholders to shape and deliver impactful services
- Support teams through GDS service phases, including assessments across Alpha, Beta, and Live
- Navigate governance, compliance, and policy requirements within regulated environments
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing strategic product direction
- Lead workshops, planning sessions, and key decision forums
- Manage and develop a team of Product Managers, supporting their growth and performance
- Oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery stays aligned to timelines, budgets, and goals
- Identify risks and dependencies early, working cross-functionally to resolve them
- Contribute to business growth through bids, proposals, and client engagements
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong leadership experience within Product Management, ideally at Head level
- Proven track record delivering within UK public sector or government environments
- Deep understanding of GDS standards, service assessments, and delivery frameworks
- Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programmes
- Ability to manage, mentor, and grow high-performing product teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across complex, multi-layered organisations
- Strong commercial awareness within consulting or client-facing roles
- Solid grasp of Agile delivery and product lifecycle management
- Confident communicator, able to influence at senior levels
