How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Freelance Designers (Multiple Roles)

    Communications International Group is an international media, events, and communications business delivering content, exhibitions, and award-winning industry events across a diverse portfolio of B2B sectors.


    As our creative output continues to grow, we are expanding our freelance network and are looking for talented designers across multiple disciplines to support our in-house studio.

    We are currently interested in hearing from:

    • Motion Graphics Designers
    • E-learning Designers
    • Digital Designers
    • Print Designers


    You do not need to cover every discipline — we’re looking for specialists in each area.

    The Opportunity

    You’ll work across a varied mix of projects, including:

    • E-learning modules (Articulate Storyline/Rise), including interactive and video-led experiences
    • Industry events and award ceremonies (branding, stage visuals, signage, motion content)
    • Marketing campaigns across print and digital channels
    • Web and social content, including banners, animations, and video
    • Editorial and print design for publications and promotional materials


    We’re particularly interested in individuals who can bring fresh thinking to e-learning, including gamification, interactivity, and user engagement.

    Key Responsibilities (Role Dependent)
    • Deliver high-quality creative work from concept to completion
    • Collaborate with the Studio Manager, Account Directors, and Editorial teams
    • Respond to feedback from senior stakeholders and iterate efficiently
    • Contribute ideas and creative thinking in a fast-paced environment
    • Work across relevant channels depending on your specialism (motion, digital, print, or e-learning)
    • Where relevant, integrate AI tools and workflows to enhance output and efficiency
    Skills & Experience (Depending on Role)

    We’re looking for a mix of the following - not all are required:

    • Strong experience in one or more areas: motion, e-learning, digital, or print design
    • Proficiency in relevant tools, such as:
    • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
    • After Effects, Premiere Pro (motion)
    • Figma (digital/UI)
    • WordPress (digital/web)
    • Experience with Articulate Storyline/Rise (for e-learning roles)
    • Understanding of interactive content and/or gamification (desirable for e-learning)
    • Ability to work efficiently from idea to execution
    • Experience working in an agency, in-house studio, or fast-paced commercial environments
    Working Style
    • Comfortable working at pace with tight deadlines
    • Strong communicator, able to take clear and direct feedback
    • Collaborative and proactive
    • Able to manage multiple projects depending on workload
    Location
    • UK time zone
    • Willing to travel to London occasionally as required
