Contract Service Designer (GDS)
UK – Remote (minimal consultative travel required)
£575 per day – Inside IR35
6 months initial contract
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Service Designer with strong GDS experience to support the design and delivery of user‑centred digital services.
About the role
- Lead and support end‑to‑end service design activities across discovery, alpha and delivery phases
- Work to the GOV.UK Service Standard and apply user‑centred design principles
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including product, technology, research and policy
Required experience
- Proven experience as a Service Designer in GDS environments
- Strong understanding of service blueprints, user journeys, and evidence‑based design
- Confident engaging stakeholders and working in Agile delivery teams
