How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer - UK Corporate Transactions

    Location: London

    Contract: Permanent

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer to join its global Knowledge & Innovation (K&I) function, with a specific focus on UK corporate transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate lawyer who enjoys working at the intersection of legal expertise, knowledge management, and innovation within a dynamic, global professional services environment.

    The Role

Working as an embedded member of the global K&I team, you will act as a resident knowledge expert for UK corporate and M&A matters, supporting lawyers across the practice with high-quality legal content, know-how, training, and innovation initiatives.

You will work closely with practice leaders and stakeholders to enhance efficiency, consistency, and value delivery for both lawyers and clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create, develop, and maintain model documents, precedents, forms, checklists, and other substantive legal content for UK corporate and M&A work.
    • Ensure knowledge resources are current, practical, and easily accessible via internal systems and platforms.
    • Provide legal, market, and practical expertise, including collecting and analysing transaction data for benchmarking, post-deal reviews, and market insights.
    • Monitor key legal and regulatory developments and support the preparation of client alerts and updates.
    • Contribute to internal and external training initiatives, including associate and trainee training, client workshops, and firmwide programmes.
    • Collaborate with the K&I team on innovation and efficiency initiatives, including legal technology solutions such as GenAI tools, document automation, and AI-enabled due diligence processes.
    • Support business development activity through thought leadership, client seminars, and pitch support.
    • Participate actively in global K&I team collaboration and best-practice sharing.

    About You

    • England & Wales qualified solicitor.
    • 6+ years' PQE gained at a leading City or international law firm with a strong corporate practice.
    • Strong experience advising on UK corporate and private M&A transactions, ideally including private equity and venture capital matters.
    • Previous experience in a Knowledge Lawyer / PSL role is preferred but not essential.
    • Genuine enthusiasm for knowledge-sharing, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
    • Interest in legal technology, innovation, AI, and modern legal service delivery.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with partners and senior lawyers.

    Why Apply?

    • Join a highly regarded global Knowledge & Innovation team with real influence across the firm.
    • Work closely with leading corporate practitioners on complex, high-value matters.
    • Develop your career in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and professional development.
    • Opportunity to shape how knowledge and technology support legal excellence and client service.
