How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Energy Trading Application Development Lead (Endur)

Level: Associate Manager (up to £70,000) or Manager (£85,000)

    Location: London (hybrid)

    Function: Technology / Energy Trading

Industry: Consulting / Energy & Commodities

    About the Role

Our client is a global professional services organisation delivering large-scale consulting, technology, and transformation programmes across energy and commodities markets. They are expanding their Energy Trading and Risk Management capability and are looking for an experienced Endur specialist to lead the design and delivery of trading applications.

This role sits at the centre of complex trading transformations, owning the technical direction across the full deal lifecycle from front to back office.

You will operate at Lead level, shaping architecture, driving delivery, and working closely with global teams to build scalable, production-grade solutions on the OpenLink Endur platform.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Leading the architecture, technical design, and delivery of Endur enhancements and integrations
    • Owning development across the full trading lifecycle, including front, middle, and back office workflows
    • Driving Endur V20+ upgrades and feature implementation aligned to business roadmaps
    • Building and optimising reporting workflows and system integrations
    • Collaborating with global stakeholders including project managers, BAs, and offshore development teams
    • Delivering solutions across Power & Gas markets, covering both physical and financial trading

    Ideal Background

    • 10–12+ years of hands-on experience with OpenLink Endur across implementations and upgrades
    • Strong technical capability in JVS, OpenComponents (Java), core Java, and Oracle SQL
    • Proven experience designing and delivering Endur-based trading solutions at scale
    • Solid domain knowledge in Power & Gas trading (physical and financial)
    • Experience leading distributed, cross-functional teams in a global delivery environment

    What You’ll Receive

    • Base salary aligned to level:
    • CL8: £70,000
    • CL7: £70,000 – £85,000
    • Clear progression into senior leadership within a growing trading technology practice
    • Exposure to large-scale, high-impact transformation programmes across energy markets
    • Opportunity to work with high-calibre teams across consulting and engineering

    Who Should Apply

This role suits an experienced Endur developer or technical lead who has moved beyond pure development and is now driving architecture and delivery. If you are already operating at Lead level or ready to step into it, and want ownership over complex trading systems in a consulting environment, this is a strong fit.
