How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Data Privacy Attorney – Law Firm – 4–8 PQE – London (Hybrid)

An elite international law firm is seeking a Data Privacy Attorney to join its London‑based Information Governance function. This role sits at the heart of the firm’s global compliance framework, advising on the responsible use of personal data across jurisdictions and supporting a wide range of internal stakeholders.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with UK, EU and international data protection laws, while supporting the firm’s broader risk, security and AI governance initiatives.

    The Role

You will advise on data protection risks arising from internal projects, technology initiatives and third‑party relationships, working closely with colleagues in Information Governance, the Office of the General Counsel, Security, Risk, Audit and AI Governance.

The role offers significant exposure to cross‑border privacy issues, complex stakeholder engagement and the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s global privacy framework.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Advising on data privacy compliance for projects involving the collection, use and transfer of personal data
    • Identifying and assessing privacy risks and conducting privacy impact assessments where required
    • Supporting responses to data subject rights requests under UK, EU and US data protection laws
    • Managing and maintaining records of processing activities and supporting data mapping initiatives
    • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating vendor contracts and commercial arrangements involving personal data
    • Supporting vendor management and security review processes from a data protection perspective
    • Reviewing and updating global privacy notices, policies and procedures

    About You

    • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 4–8 years’ PQE
    • Strong experience advising on UK and EU data protection laws
    • Background within a law firm compliance or information governance team
    • Experience of contract drafting and negotiation involving data processing and data transfers
    • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across legal, risk, security and technology functions
    • Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a global environment
