How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Manufacturing Engineer – NPI
    Location: Hereford
    Salary: Up to £55,000

Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in prototyping and new product introduction, looking to play a key role in bringing complex, high-power products into full-scale production?

This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative engineering business working on advanced electronic systems, where you’ll support both ongoing development and the transition into full NPI and production.

    The Role
This is a hybrid Manufacturing Engineer / NPI position, focused on supporting the development and industrialisation of highly complex, high-power electronic products.

You’ll work closely with engineering and production teams to take evolving designs and turn them into robust, manufacturable products, playing a key role in scaling production capability.

The position offers a clear pathway to develop into a dedicated NPI-focused role within 12–24 months.

    Key Responsibilities

Support the transition of products from prototype to production (NPI)
Convert incomplete or evolving designs into manufacturable, production-ready solutions
Work closely with design engineers to refine and improve product performance
Drive improvements around scalability, manufacturability, and efficiency
Support production with technical input, process development, and problem solving
Assist in developing build processes, documentation, and work instructions
Contribute to ongoing product development, including performance and design optimisation
    What We’re Looking For

Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a prototyping or low-volume environment
Strong understanding of NPI processes and product industrialisation
Experience working with complex electronic or electromechanical products
Ability to work with evolving designs and bring structure to development projects
Hands-on, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
    Desirable Experience

Experience with high power electronics or amplifiers
Interest or exposure to RF technologies
Background in start-up or fast-paced development environments
Experience supporting scaling of products into production
    Why Apply?

Hybrid working offering flexibility between home and site
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge, high-power technologies
Play a key role in developing and scaling new products
    Clear progression into a long-term NPI-focused position
Be part of a growing engineering function with strong future potential
