How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager has become available with a leading hi-tech organisation based at their site in Runcorn.
     
    As the successful Project Manager, you will join a team of engineering professionals involved in the design and development of bespoke electro-mechanical robotic and automation solutions used globally by leading pharma, medical and manufacturing businesses.
     
    You will be responsible for delivering complex projects through full-lifecycle, ensuing smooth process from order acceptance to installation, ensuing cost and delivery milestones are achieved, as well as design objectives and technical documentation.
     
    Project Manager – Responsibilities:

    Manage the full engineering project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of technical solutions.
    Lead small, multi-disciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical and software engineers on challenging projects.
    Be the main client interface, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction.
    Responsible for project budgets, providing financial updates, and meeting cost & revenue targets.
    Contribute to the technical design process and approve technical documentation.
    Ensure all projects adhere to QMS and meet customer specificatio
    Meet project deadlines while managing risk and troubleshooting issues. 
    Essential Skills & Experience Required:

    Proven experience in Engineering Project Management with multi-disciplinary teams in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
    Proven in project management frameworks, such as PRINCE 2, PMP, and Agile methodologies.
    Proven project management of high value projects, on time, to specification, and within budget.
    Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
    Strong commercial and contract management awareness, issue management and contract variations.
    Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering projects to deadlines.
    Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project management software.
    Experience with Jira and Confluence.
    Must hold a full Driving License with a willingness to travel to customer site across the UK, Europe, and USA as required.
