How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a dynamic and client-focused consultancy specialising in health, safety, and fire risk management services and are looking to expand their team to support their client base in London, covering high-rise residential properties in the private sector.

    This role involves supporting clients across a range of sectors by ensuring compliance with UK health, safety, and fire safety legislation, while promoting best practices and risk reduction strategies.

    Health, Safety and Fire Risk Assessor

    Job Description

    Conduct comprehensive health & safety and fire risk assessments across residential sites
    Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and provide practical, compliant recommendations
    Prepare clear, concise reports in line with current legislation and guidance
    Support clients in implementing corrective actions and ongoing safety improvements
    Keep up to date with changes in UK regulations and industry standards
    Liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders, and enforcement bodies where required
    Requirements:

    Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
    Fire Risk Assessment qualification or demonstrable experience
    Strong knowledge of UK legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
    Excellent attention to detail and report writing skills
    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

    Desirable:

    Membership of a professional body (e.g., IOSH, IFE)
    Ability to deliver training or safety briefings
