How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are supporting a client within the offshore engineering sector who is seeking a Project Document Controller to join a live engineering project on a 6-month contract. This role has an immediate start date, therefore applicants should be available at short notice.
    You will play a key role in managing project documentation across engineering, vendor, and construction teams, ensuring accurate control, distribution, and traceability of all project deliverables within an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
    This is a hands-on document control role within a fast-paced project environment, supporting both home office and site-based teams.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Manage and maintain document registers (internal and vendor documentation)
    * Ensure accurate version control, metadata quality, and document traceability
    * Upload, distribute, and track documentation via EDMS systems (e.g. Aconex / Asite / SharePoint)
    * Issue and manage transmittals and document workflows
    * Support vendor documentation control, ensuring compliance with project requirements
    * Check documents for quality and compliance prior to uploading into EDMS
    * Monitor document status, workflows, and overdue actions
    * Assist with project close-out and handover documentation
    * Support internal project teams with document retrieval and queries
    Skills/experience required:
    * Previous experience as a Document Controller / Project Document Controller in engineering or construction environments
    * Experience working with EDMS systems (Aconex, Asite, SharePoint, or similar)
    * Understanding of vendor documentation, transmittals, and document registers
    * Experience within construction, infrastructure, offshore, or engineering projects
    * Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document workflows
    * Comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven project environment
    Desirable Experience
    * Offshore, oil & gas, or EPC project experience
    * Exposure to manufacturing record books (MRBs) or O&M manuals
    * Experience supporting project handover / close-out documentation
