How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    DCS Engineer
Maintain and improve critical DCS and PLC systems
Wolviston Management Services is proud to be working in partnership with Tioxide to recruit a DCS Engineer for their Greatham site.
This is a specialist control systems role where you will carry out routine maintenance and continuous improvement activity across the site’s DCS and PLC systems. You will also implement changes linked to capital projects and technical improvement programmes, helping maintain safe, reliable and compliant operations.
You will work across MOD300, DeltaV, Siemens PLCs, Texas Instrument PLCs and PI Vision, supporting system maintenance, performance monitoring, change control, cyber security and control system availability.
    What you’ll be doing
    You will:
    * Maintain DCS and PLC systems in line with corporate, cyber security, EHS and site standards.
    * Complete routine system maintenance, including backups, hardware monitoring, file housekeeping and user interface equipment renewals.
    * Carry out DCS code changes and support control system improvements.
    * Analyse DCS performance data, investigate anomalies and monitor system availability.
    * Monitor control system security and prepare control system KPIs and routine reports.
    * Develop or modify control sequences, alarms and reports to user specifications.
    * Robustly test changes before they go live.
    * Test system upgrades to ensure compatibility with existing systems.
    * Coordinate the control system management of change process.
    * Support implementation of the control system improvement plan.
    * Provide breakdown support to control system users, including out-of-hours support when required.
    * Promote a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, reliability and high standards.
    Candidate requirements
We welcome applications from people who have:
    * A degree, or equivalent knowledge, in engineering, advanced process control or a related discipline.
    * Strong experience in a control system environment, ideally within a 24/7 chemical, process or manufacturing operation.
    * Experience with DCS and PLC process automation.
    * Knowledge of firewalls, network management or software programming languages.
    * Experience with MOD300, DeltaV, Siemens PLCs, Texas Instrument PLCs or PI Vision would be beneficial.
    * The ability to analyse system performance and investigate anomalies.
    * A strong focus on cyber security, compliance and safe system operation.
    * The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
    * A commitment to safe working, inclusion, continuous improvement and values-led behaviours.
We know people gain skills in different ways. You do not need to meet every point above to apply. If this role interests you and you believe you could make a positive contribution, we would welcome your application.
    Why join Tioxide?
Join Tioxide in a specialist DCS role where your control systems knowledge will directly support site reliability, safety and long-term system improvement. You will work with complex systems in a high-performing manufacturing environment.
    Diversity and inclusion
Tioxide is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and able to contribute. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, including people from groups currently under-represented in automation, controls, engineering and manufacturing roles.
Tioxide and Wolviston Management Services are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process
