How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity
    A leading engineering organisation within the defence sector is seeking a hands-on EMC to support the validation and certification of advanced systems.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-integrity products, ensuring they perform reliably in challenging electromagnetic environments. You’ll play a key role across the full test lifecycle from early-stage development through to qualification and certification.
    What You’ll Be Doing
    * Plan, design and execute system-level test activities
    * Develop test setups, including instrumentation and data capture methods
    * Prepare and support trials, ensuring readiness across hardware, software and facilities
    * Coordinate test activities, including logistics and equipment availability
    * Carry out hands-on testing in specialist environments (e.g. EMC chambers)
    * Capture, analyse and interpret test data
    * Produce clear technical reports and documentation
    * Support product certification activities
    * Collaborate with engineering teams and test facilities
    What We’re Looking For
    * Experience in EMC, RF testing or electronic systems validation
    * A hands-on approach with a passion for practical engineering and testing
    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    * Ability to plan, execute and document technical work methodically
    * Confident communicator, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
    Desirable Experience
    * Familiarity with EMC or military standards (e.g. MIL-STD, Def-Stan)
    * Background in electronics, electrical engineering, physics or similar
    * Experience working with environmental or compliance testing facilities
