How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    If so, then this role may be ideal for you.

    A specialist school in Newbury is looking for a new Mental Health Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis as soon as possible. The school caters to students with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, such as children with attachment disorders, trauma, moderate learning difficulties and anxiety disorders.

    As a Mental Health Assistant within a school, you will be responsible for supporting the students throughout the day on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will follow therapeutic practices and behaviour management to ensure that a calm and safe learning environment is maintained. You will also provide general classroom assistance to the class teacher, and liaise with on- site specialists to ensure that each student receives the best quality care and education.

    This is a great opportunity for a graduate or aspiring psychologist to gain hands-on experience with children who face difficulties in accessing education sue to complex and mental health needs. You will gain a direct insight into how Special Educational Needs manifest and how therapeutic and tailored practices can help children get the most out of their education

    The school are looking for a School Mental Health Assistant who is enthusiastic, resilient and passionate about supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs. Previous experience working with children is highly desirable, but the right attitude and willingness to learn is most important.
