How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

    *

Provide competent health and safety advice and support to internal stakeholders and external delivery partners on all matters relating to construction safety and CDM compliance.

Support the development, implementation and improvement of safety management arrangements aligned to ISO 45001.

Undertake monitoring, audits, peer reviews, and incident investigations to ensure compliance with statutory duties and internal governance.

    *

Demonstrable experience advising on construction-related health and safety within large, complex or sensitive environments.

    *

In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and relevant health and safety legislation.

    *

Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    *

Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.

    Additional Information:

    *

Some occasional out-of-hours or weekend work may be required to support project demands.

    *

Applicants must be eligible to undergo Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) security clearance, which typically requires having lived in the UK for 3 out of the last 5 years.

This is a rare opportunity to join a respected organisation operating at the heart of the public sector, contributing to high-impact projects in a uniquely challenging environment.
