We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser for our client who are a rapidly growing womenswear brand based in London. Joining their largest category, dresses you will report into the Senior Merchandiser. Playing a key role in ensuring the continued success and growth across their varied product categories and ranges.
Responsibilities
Conduct weekly trade reviews, analysing sales, stock and margin performance to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
Monitor in‑season performance to identify missed opportunities and minimise risk through trading and commitment reviews.
Recommend markdown and promotional strategies to maximise profit while driving sell‑through.
Partner with Buying and Design to build and trade commercial ranges that drive profitability and reduce markdown risk.
Ensure ranges are consistently reviewed both pre‑season and in‑season, rebalancing as required to maximise performance.
Manage department line cards, ensuring strong availability on key styles.
Plan, reforecast and manage category WSSIs. Ensuring plans are met and identifying terminal stock risk early.
Present trading performance and forecasts to Senior Management alongside the Senior Merchandiser.
Analyse historical sales trends to inform strategic trading and future ranging decisions.
Prepare and collate data for seasonal sign‑off packs, supporting range and buy approval meetings.
Work collaboratively with E‑commerce and Marketing teams to align product launches and campaigns with trading priorities.
Coach and support a Merchandising Admin Assistant (MAA), managing day‑to‑day tasks and aiding development.
Manage the critical path alongside the Buying team, attending weekly supplier calls.
Coordinate intake planning with Logistics and Warehouse teams, prioritising stock flow and forecasting accurate intake volumes.About You:
Commercially minded Junior Merchandiser with a strong passion for product, performance and responsible fashion
Experience working within a fast paced department ideally within womenswear and dresses.
Analytical and confident using data to review sales, stock and margin performance, identifying opportunities and risk
Collaborative team player who works closely with Buying, Design, E‑commerce, Marketing and Supply Chain teams
