How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Cityworx are recruiting on behalf of a client who are looking for an experienced Registered Manager for a CQC 'Good' rated nursing home in the Manchester area. For this role, they are looking for a qualified Nurse, ideally, or someone with experience of managing a large Nursing Home.

    They are looking for someone who will be able to take on the following responsibilities:

    * To ensure effective management of the home and support residents with a full range of care needs including people with complex needs and higher acuity residents.

    * To ensure that the service operates within its agreed staffing establishment, with appropriately trained staff in line with mandatory training matrix.

    * To provide a need led service to adults by adopting a person-centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.

    * To lead the teams in achieving its key purposes and in the continuous improvement of its performance against set targets both internally and nationally.

    * To communicate a clear sense of purpose, and direction to the teams to motivate and develop staff and providing a role model for Best Practice.

    * Develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards, good practice through a programme of training and development. Ensuring excellent working relationships with partner agencies and ensuring the service continues to evolve.

    * Provide regular supervision and annual appraisal and team meetings in line with Company policies and procedures.

    * To ensure the service meets requirements in terms of policies and procedures and safe working practices, including medication administration and health and safety related matters.

    * To manage, a delegated budget, monitor expenditure against estimates, initiate corrective action as necessary, and ensure financial decisions are in the best interests of the company.

    * To act as organisational lead in several agreed practice areas, and particularly in developing the relationships with our partner organisations.

    * To ensure residents and relatives meetings take place and maximise the involvement of people we support in the decisions and running of the service.

    * To lead and implement the use of electronic recording systems, and other innovative technology as agreed to be adopted within the service.

    * To represent the organisation in a range of external forums and ensure that best practice models are adopted within the service. Liaise with key stakeholders in health and social care to ensure support and care are delivered to a high standard.

    * Recruit staff and ensure the recruitment and retention of staff with a positive value base and person-centred approach.

    * Provide management, leadership and guidance to all direct reports to ensure performance is maintained and continuously improved and to ensure that their supervision of staff is developmental and timely.

    * Ensure that all Safeguarding procedures are appropriately managed in line with procedures

    * Prepare standard reports for internal and external use, ensuring clear records of actions, circumstances and decisions.

    * Ensure that HR, Finance, Audit and Payroll all receive appropriate information they may request and need.

    * Contribute, and support the implementation of organisational processes, policies changes, and improvement through effective change management

    * Where necessary ensure that all employee relation matters including absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures are carried out in line with Company policy and statutory requirements.

    * Oversee and contribute to the Service’s H&S plan and the quality audit cycle ensuring ongoing development of the service.

    * To undertake work on occasions across the organisation including acting as a champion, disciplinary investigations, delivering training, or other needs of the business.

    For this role you will need to hold, or be working towards, NVQ Level 5 Health & Social Care (or equivalent), experience of managing an elderly/dementia care home, and have a proven record of undergoing a 'Good' CQC inspection. Ideally, you will need to a qualified Nurse, or have experience of managing a large nursing home
