How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Winchester, Hampshire
    Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm (Daytime hours only, with no night shifts, weekend working or rotating patterns.)

    The Opportunity We are recruiting a Production Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of a busy manufacturing workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role, best suited to someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leading people and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

    You will play a key role in driving output, improving workflow and maintaining strong standards around safety, quality and cost control. This is not a desk-based role. Your presence and influence on the workshop floor will be central to success.

    Key ResponsibilitiesOperations and Production

    Oversee the daily running of the workshop to ensure production targets are met
    Plan and manage workflow, labour and resources to maximise efficiency
    Monitor work in progress and maintain smooth production flow
    Ensure materials, tooling and resources are available to avoid downtime
    Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting output, cost or qualityHealth and Safety

    Promote and maintain a strong safety‑first culture
    Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
    Carry out regular safety checks and address risks promptlyPeople Management

    Lead, manage and motivate a team of workshop employees
    Set clear expectations and maintain consistent standards
