About the role
As a Care Team Leader, you will manage and supervise care, wellbeing and administrative staff, helping them reach their full potential through positive leadership, guidance and example. You will also take full responsibility for the service during the absence of the Care Manager and provide direct care when required.
What you will do
* Lead, supervise and support care, wellbeing and administrative staff to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care.
* Assist residents with personal care and provide health supervision and direct care when required.
* Ensure residents’ rights to dignity, privacy and choice are respected at all times.
* Support the Care Manager in fulfilling the duties of the Responsible Person, including record keeping and medicines management.
* Ensure care and support plans, risk assessments and reviews are in place and regularly updated.
* Oversee safe management of medicines, observations and competency assessments.
About you
* We are looking for someone who is organised, resilient and passionate about supporting older people and leading teams.
* You will bring:
* Experience working in a care-related setting (at least 2 years as a Senior/Supervisor).
* Medication administration experience.
* A good level of literacy and confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft products.
* Knowledge of dementia care and supporting older people with increased physical and emotional frailty.
* Availability to work a 7-day rota, cover on-call and emergency situations, and travel occasionally for training.
* Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) desired.
* Awareness of financial plans and budget management
