How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are a well-established UK wholesale business supplying a wide range of quality products to customers nationwide.

    We are currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of outbound equipment shipments and collections. This is an important role within the business, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods through third-party transport providers.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Oversee the daily running of outbound deliveries, collections, and equipment shipments

    * Schedule and submit transport requests to third-party courier partners in line with agreed timelines

    * Act as the main point of contact for couriers and customers regarding logistics queries

    * Monitor daily operations and proactively manage any changes, issues, or additional charges

    * Raise and manage purchase orders and ensure all relevant shipment documentation is accurately prepared

    * Raise and manage damage claims with courier partners where required

    * Maintain clear and effective communication across internal teams and external partners

    About You

    We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be able to demonstrate:

    * Strong administration and customer service skills

    * Excellent IT ability (experience with Microsoft Navision is beneficial but not essential – full training will be provided)

    * High levels of accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail

    * Ability to prioritise workload and make effective decisions under pressure

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    * A proactive approach with the confidence to use initiative

    * A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

    Hours

    Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week

    Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
