How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Residential Conveyancer
    📍 Newark, Nottinghamshire

    We are looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our friendly and supportive team based in our Newark office.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and client-focused legal professional who is keen to progress their career within a well-established, forward-thinking firm.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for managing your own varied caseload of residential property matters from initial instruction through to post-completion. This will include:

    Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    Transfers of equity
    Re-mortgages
    New build transactions
    Shared ownership and Help to Buy mattersThe successful candidate will be confident in handling files independently while maintaining a high standard of client care throughout.

    About You

    We are particularly interested in candidates who are qualified as either a Solicitor or CILEX Residential Conveyancer, although applications are also welcomed from:

    Licensed Conveyancers
    CILEX Lawyers
    Experienced fee-earning Paralegals with a strong background in residential conveyancingYou will:

    Have demonstrable experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload
    Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
    Possess strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
    Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team

    Working Arrangements

    Full-time (5 days per week) or 4 days per week considered
    Office-based in Newark initially
    Following successful completion of a 6-month probation period, there may be scope for hybrid working (subject to Partners' discretion)
    Opportunity to work from the West Bridgford office where appropriate after probation
