How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Maths Teacher – Hazlemere – Full-Time                September Start

Pay: £34,398 – £52,490 per year (dependent on experience)

Inspire problem-solvers. Build confidence. Shape curious, resilient mathematicians.

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Hazlemere, who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their department on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths specialist who is passionate about helping students understand, enjoy, and succeed in Mathematics — whether that’s mastering core skills or tackling complex problem-solving.

    The Role

This role goes beyond delivering lessons — it’s about building confidence, promoting logical thinking, and helping students see the relevance of Maths in the real world.

    In this role, you will:

Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Plan and teach lessons that develop numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Differentiate effectively to support learners of all abilities
Track progress and use assessment to inform planning and intervention
Maintain a positive, focused learning environment with strong classroom management
Work collaboratively within a supportive Maths department
    What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Maths Teacher who can motivate, challenge, and support students to achieve their full potential.

    You will:

Hold QTS, PGCE, ECT status, or equivalent
(unqualified teachers with strong relevant experience may be considered)
Have recent experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
Demonstrate secure subject knowledge and effective behaviour management
Be organised, enthusiastic, and committed to student progress
Be available for a full-time position
    Why This Role?

    Full-time, long-term opportunity
Competitive pay in line with MPS / UPS
Supportive leadership and a collaborative Maths department
Ongoing guidance from a dedicated Supply Desk consultant
    Opportunities for CPD and progression
