How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    The role of Private Client Fee Earner involves providing comprehensive legal services primarily to private individuals. This position requires managing a varied caseload related to wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, powers of attorney, and related private client matters. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong client communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy legal environment.

    Job Duties

    Advise clients on private client matters including wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate administration.
    Draught legal documents such as wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
    Manage probate applications and the administration of estates, liaising with executors, beneficiaries, and third parties as necessary.
    Maintain thorough case files and ensure timely progression of all matters within agreed deadlines.
    Provide clear and professional advice to clients, managing expectations and maintaining regular communication throughout the legal process.
    Carry out legal research and keep abreast of legislative changes relevant to private client work.
    Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm policies, including anti-money laundering procedures and confidentiality requirements.
    Collaborate with colleagues and external organisations to facilitate effective case management and resolution.
    Use legal case management software and systems to record and track case progress and billing information accurately
